Descriptions of it are incomplete 2019

The starting point for the photo collage Descriptions of It Are Incomplete was the solo exhibition of *Barbara Kruger. After three months, the space-filling installation, which consisted of large white wallpaper strips featuring black words and sentences, was dismantled. The sections of the installation that were torn in the process were photographed during the dismantling.

The room measured approximately:

15 meters in length, 15 meters in width, and 8 meters in height.

A digital photo collage was created on the computer from over 200 photographs of the remnants.

*Barbara Kruger (born January 26, 1945 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American conceptual artist known for her large-format posters and installations. The impact of her posters, and later her wall-to-ceiling installations, came at a time that was shaped by both the political awakening and the emerging conceptual art. Today the artist lives and works in New York and Los Angeles.
